Lori Houlden Girard has deep roots in Grafton. Having grown up on Houlden Farm, she is a lifelong resident of the community. Lori is a skilled seamstress and entrepreneur, and has spent over 30 years running her business, Houlden Interiors, which specializes in custom slipcovers and draperies. She’s built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and a personal touch.
Lori’s love for cooking and baking was cultivated during her childhood on the farm and has always been an important part of her life. She is dedicated to nourishing those she cares about and has turned this passion into a mission to support the well-being of her community. As the creator and President of Meals That Matter, Inc. (MTM), a non-profit charity in she provides hot, nutritious, homemade meals (Sunday dinners) and conducts weekly check-ins to individuals and families in need—one meal, one person at a time. It's the community support that makes this endeavor special.
Lori's greatest pride and joy is her son, Nicholas. He has inherited her love of cooking and plays an active role in Meals That Matter. She also cherishes her time with her partner Ed, whether they are traveling, going out for dinner, or spending quiet time at home with their two lovable golden retrievers, Gus and Grace. She is incredibly thankful for her fabulous friends and family without whom, none of this would be possible.
Lori believes that love, compassion and connection are what truly matter most in life ❤️
