Meals That Matter is dedicated to bridging the gap through comfort and care. We go beyond providing food by offering home-cooked, nutritious meals and soups that nurture both body and soul. My mission is to foster a sense of care, compassion, hope, and well-being within our community. In addition to our Sunday meal deliveries, we offer a check-in to ensure that our recipients have everything they need to support their well-being. I understand that in today’s fast-paced world, it can be challenging to find the time to care for our loved ones. Through Meals That Matter, I aim to be a reliable source of nutrition, community, and support, offering a helping hand when it’s needed most. ❤️
Your donation can make a difference in the lives of the people we serve. We thank you for your generosity and compassion.
Lori Houlden Girard has deep roots in Grafton, having grown up on her family's farm, Houlden Farm. A lifelong resident of the community, Lori is a skilled seamstress and entrepreneur, and has spent over 30 years running her business, Houlden Interiors. Specializing in custom slipcovers and draperies, she’s built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and a personal touch.
Lori’s love for cooking and baking cultivated during her childhood on the farm and has always been an important part of her life. She is dedicated to nourishing those she cares about and has turned this passion into a mission to support the well-being of her community. As the creator and President of Meals That Matter, Inc., she works to provide hot, nutritious, home-cooked Sunday dinners to individuals and families in need—one meal at a time.
Her greatest pride and joy is her son, Nicholas. Lori cherishes time spent with Nick, her partner Ed, friends, family, and their two lovable golden retrievers, Gus and Grace (affectionately known as Gus Gus and Gracie Girl). She believes that the simple moments of love and connection are what truly matter most. ❤️
